He was born in Demiroluk Village of Kadınhanı district of Konya. He completed his primary education here. After completing his Hafiz at the Kadınhanı Qur'an Course, he graduated from Konya Imam-Hatip High School in 1981; In 1985, he graduated from Selcuk University, Faculty of Theology. He completed his master's degree at the Social Sciences Institute of Selcuk University with his thesis study titled "The Theological Structure of the Ignorance Society Before Prophethood". (1990). He completed his doctorate at the same university with his thesis titled "Hidayet and Misguidance in the Qur'an". (1994). In 1995, he was appointed as Assistant Professor to the Department of Theology, Faculty of Theology, Cumhuriyet University. He became Associate Professor in 1998. He became a Professor in 2004. He held a number of administrative positions at CU Faculty of Theology, such as assistant dean, department chair and department head. In 2009, he was appointed to the Faculty of Theology at Selcuk University. However, Prof. Dr. Ramazan Altıntaş was a Jury Member of the Associate Professorship Subcommittee at ÖSYM and a member of the Religious Affairs High Council of the Presidency of Religious Affairs between 2011-2015. He also served as the Dean of the Faculty of Theology at Necmettin Erbakan University between 2015-2019. He is still the Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences at Selcuk University, Prof. Dr. Ramazan Altıntaş is married and has three children. He speaks French and Arabic. He has many published works, articles in peer-reviewed journals, and presentations in national and international symposiums.
